Spring Break 2008

New Orleans Relief :: Spring Break 2008
Cost

The cost of Spring Break 2008 will be $192.50 per student*.  That includes accommodations, lunch, conference costs, tools and a respirator (when needed).

*Unfortunately, the cost has increased because we recently learned of a new insurance cost for relief trips under Campus Crusade.

Fortunately, if you registered before we switched the price (1/28/08) you are exempt from the changed price. I guess sometimes it pays to register early.

Q:  Do you think the cost of the conference will affect anyone's willingness to come?
A:  We realize the price may affect some people’s ability to come.  We are making our goal to do this as affordably as possible.  However, it is still considerably cheaper than going to Big Break or Mexico City.  One idea is to talk with local churches to see if they would provide scholarship money or cover bus costs.  There are thousands of churches across the nation that raised a lot of money for hurricane relief, and are still not sure what to do with their remaining funds.  Also, because of this being a relief effort, universities may also provide funds for transportation.  Of all the spring break options out there, this may be the easiest for students and staff to raise money for.
